How to Redeem Borderlands 3 Shift Codes
Redeeming shift codes for free golden keys is easy. Just use the following steps:
- Through the Borderlands Website (Shift Menu > Redeem Code)
- In-Game via the Social Menu
Once you've redeemed a key, it will show up in your mail in the game. Afterward, you can head to your social menu, open your in-game mail and retrieve them.

What are Borderlands 3 Diamond Keys?
With Diamond Keys, you're presented with not just a chest, but an entire room of spectacular loot. There have been only two Borderlands 3 Shift codes rewarding players with Borderlands 3 Diamond Keys so far.
The Diamond Armory is a new room located beneath the Bridge on Sanctuary III's upper deck, where you can use your Diamond Keys.
The Diamond Chest in this room features the inscription “Choose Wisely.” on its front. You can find neon symbols depicting shields, weapons, and grenades on three nearby walls. By utilizing a Diamond Key, you can unlock the shutters on the three walls of the Diamond Chest, revealing a treasure trove of extraordinary items.
How to obtain Borderlands 3 Golden Keys
You can obtain golden Keys via Shift Codes.
You can use these Golden Keys to open the skull-studded chest at your base, the Sanctuary. Not to be confused with Negan's Sanctuary in The Walking Dead. Unlocking the chest will drop random epic and legendary weapons, shields, grenades, and more. You should also be saving some of the Golden Keys for higher levels to get better gear.
How to Collect Golden Keys and Redemption Rewards
While in the game, open up the game menu, and press Social. Then press the envelope icon to go to the Mail menu.

Borderlands 3 VIP codes
The Borderlands 3 VIP program officially ended on May 18th, 2020. Before Borderlands 3's launch, Gearbox gave out Vault Insider Program keys that worked similarly to Shift Codes. Players earned those keys by performing tasks like watching trailers or following the game's social media accounts.
Since the program has been discontinued, so you can no longer redeem any of the VIP codes.
